Nassau County, NY – Nassau County Department of Health has closed Hewlett Point Beach in East Rockaway, Island Park Beach in Island Park, Biltmore Beach Club in Massapequa and Piping Rock Beach Club in Locust Valley to bathing due to elevated bacterial levels, effective today, August 31, 2023.
These beaches will remain closed until testing indicates that samples are within acceptable limits.
