Theodore Roosevelt Beach Closed to Bathing Due to Elevated Bacterial Levels

Nassau County, NY – Nassau County Department of Health has closed Theodore Roosevelt Beach in Oyster Bay to bathing due to elevated bacterial levels, effective today, August 15, 2026. This beach will remain closed until testing indicates that samples are within acceptable limits.
