[ARCHIVED] Four Beaches Closed to Bathing

Mineola, NY - Due to heavy rainfall, the Nassau County Department of Health has closed the following four beaches to bathing as a precautionary measure, effective today, June 5, 2014. Storm water runoff can have a negative impact by elevating bacterial levels and affecting bathing water quality.

Four North Shore Beaches within Nassau County:

Creek Club in Locust Valley

Laurel Hollow Beach in Laurel Hollow

North Hempstead Beach Park in Port Washington

Piping Rock Beach Club in Lattingtown
