Mineola, NY - Nassau County Department of Health is reporting that most Nassau County beaches operating for the 2014 season are currently open except for Philip Healey Beach in Massapequa, Hewlett Point Beach and Island Park Beach.
Philip Healey Beach remains closed to bathing due to elevated levels of bacteria. Hewlett Point Beach and Island Park Beach are closed as a precautionary measure.
