Statement from Legislator Drucker on Recent Antisemitic Incident, New State Resources Available to Combat Hate

(MINEOLA, N.Y.) – The following is a statement from Nassau County Legislator Arnold W. Drucker (D – Plainview) –
“I was once again disheartened and outraged to learn about an incident of antisemitic vandalism at East Meadow High School. At a time when hatred targeting Jews is spiking around the world, it is essential for all of us to remain vigilant and immediately condemn and confront any bigoted act we observe or experience,” Nassau County Legislator Arnold W. Drucker (D – Plainview) said.
“Yesterday, New York State announced an $25 million expansion of the Securing Communities Against Hate Crimes grant initiative, and $50 million in new funds to better law enforcement agencies to solve and prevent hate crimes. These resources could not have come at a more pivotal time. I encourage every eligible law enforcement, religious and cultural institution to apply for these crucial programs,” Legislator Drucker concluded.
