(PLAINVIEW, N.Y.) - Nassau County Legislator Arnold W. Drucker (D - Plainview) joined clergy members and congregants at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church on Tuesday, Oct. 19 to honor Pastor Eric Olsen ahead of his departure from the Plainview congregation.
During his tenure, Pastor Olsen brought residents of all faiths and backgrounds together through events like Good Shepherd Lutheran’s annual Christmas Tree Lighting and a moving 9/11 interfaith service each year. He has also helped Good Shepherd continue to evolve to meet the needs of residents and surrounding communities.
“Although Pastor Olsen will be moving on to another community, his everlasting legacy, exemplary contributions, and indelible mark on our Plainview - Old Bethpage community will continue to inspire service and hope for decades to come,” Legislator Drucker said. “I know Pastor Olsen will continue to lead and serve with compassion and kindness where ever he goes, and I wish him all the best as he embarks upon this new chapter.”
