CE Boost Nassau

I’m proud of the incredible resilience Nassau County has shown during this unprecedented time.  As we continue to recover from the pandemic, I am committed to delivering relief for our residents and businesses.  I recently filed legislation that will allow the County to provide $375 cash payments to up to 400,000 households.

Nassau County’s finances are in the best shape they have been in years due to my Administration’s responsible budgeting and fiscal discipline.  The County’s financial health allows me to provide this funding directly to both homeowners and renters.

Unfortunately, the proposed legislation has not been called for action by the Republican Majority in the Nassau County Legislature.  This now delays getting checks to our residents.

The next opportunity for the Legislature to vote on this bill is September 13th.  I strongly encourage residents to contact their legislators and urge them to stop the delay and vote yes on these payments.

It is my hope that once payments are approved, you will use the money not only to pay your bills, but if possible, go out to dinner, see a movie, do some back-to-school shopping, or maybe get a haircut – right here in Nassau County.  By spending locally, you will be helping Nassau’s economy.
