been a leader in advocating for the civil rights of people with
disabilities in many areas.

and leadership among the more than 2,400 counties comprising the
National Association of Counties (NACo ) where we co-authored a
nationally-distributed Section 504 Compliance Manual and helped write
NACo's platform policy on disability issues.

president's committee on Employment of People with Disabilities to
present models of ADA compliance and policy initiatives to experts
representing counties, cities, and towns nationwide.
