(HEMPSTEAD and ELMONT, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislator Carrié Solages (D – Lawrence) joined forces with an array of community sponsors to present the second annual 03 3-on-3 basketball tournament at Lincoln Park in Hempstead on Saturday, July 29. Spearheaded by Elmont residents Fenol Larock, Antonio Marcello and Christiano Marcello to create a positive and safe outlet for local youth, the all-day tournament featured a 64-team field and a $2,000 first prize for the trio that emerges victorious from the bracket competition.
“It is always wonderful to support efforts to create safe and welcoming forums for competition and camaraderie, and that is exactly what this basketball tournament continues to provide for Nassau County,” Legislator Solages said. “Congratulations to Fenol Larock, Antonio Marcello and Christiano Marcello and all their sponsors on a successful event that provided safe competition and entertainment for hundreds of people in our community!”
