COVID 19 – Current Policy and Procedures Guidance and Updates Opens in new window

The Nassau County Fire Marshal’s Office will be enforcing the Executive Orders from the Office of the Governor regarding non-essential gatherings of individuals at commercial premises, as well as the prohibited operation of non-essential businesses. The Nassau County Fire Marshal’s Office will NOT enforce complaints at private homes.

The Empire State Development Corporation has provided Guidance on Executive Order 202.6 which can be found online at https://esd.ny.gov/guidance-executive-order-2026. Any other business may be deemed essential after requesting an opinion from the Empire State Development Corporation, which shall review and grant such request.

Complaints with regard to all of the above can be reported to ShutDownEnforcement@nassaucountyny.gov
