Scott Davis was elected on November 7, 2023, and assumed office on January 1, 2024, representing the newly formed First Legislative District, which is comprised of the Village of Rockville Centre and a majority of the Village of Hempstead. He grew up in Hempstead and has lived in Rockville Centre since 2006.
Legislator Davis is committed to focusing on innovative solutions and initiatives that increase efficiency and help make Nassau County a more affordable place to live and raise a family. He intends to closely monitor County operations and fiscal expenditures to ensure the County is running economically, which helps lower the financial burden on taxpaying residents.
By working closely with community leaders and organizations, Legislator Davis seeks to raise awareness of County resources such as senior and mental health services, programs for youths and the physically challenged as well as the services of the County’s offices of Minority and Community Affairs.
He wants to strengthen bonds with our partners in county and village law enforcement to ensure public safety and vigilance against hate crimes. Legislator Davis will also focus on implementing infrastructure revitalization in the Village of Hempstead, utilizing the millions of dollars secured through the efforts of legislators Siela Bynoe and Kevan Abrahams.
Legislator Davis is committed to fulfilling his duties with transparency, an open mind, and an extended hand to every resident of legislative district 1. He will utilize his life experience as a father, coach, mentor and attorney, toward delivering reasonable, pragmatic, results-oriented inclusive leadership.
