(VALLEY STREAM and LYNBROOK, N.Y.) - Nassau County Legislator Cynthia Nuñez (D – Valley Stream) put her green thumb to good use on Saturday, May 2 at a series of community cleanup and beautification events across District 14. The day included joining the Incorporated Village of Lynbrook as they observed Arbor Day with a tree-planting event at Greis Park Trail, partnering with Assemblywoman Michaelle Solages and volunteers for an “I Love My Park Day” cleanup of Valley Stream State Park, and visiting a seed swap event that was taking place simultaneously at the park.
“Saturday was a day rooted in service, and a time for us all to recommit ourselves to preserving our planet for future generations,” Legislator Nuñez said. “I was proud to work with Assemblywoman Solages, the Village of Lynbrook, and dozens of enthusiastic volunteers on projects that make District 14’s communities more vibrant and beautiful.”
