(VALLEY STREAM, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislator Cynthia Nuñez (D – Valley Stream) had the privilege of participating in and supporting the inaugural “25 Years of Resilience” 5K Run/Walk at Valley Stream Central High School. Held on Saturday, Sept. 12 and presented by the Valley Stream High School Central School District, the race traversed A.J. Hendrickson Park and Valley Stream State Park before looping back to a conclusion at the high school.
“Not only was this inaugural event an incredible and meaningful gathering that paid heartfelt tribute to the men and women who lost their lives during the September 11 terror attacks, it brought our community together to raise much-needed funds for the Tunnels to Towers Foundation’s essential mission,” Legislator Nuñez said. “I am grateful that I had an opportunity to support this event and take part in such a special and impactful morning.”
