(ELMONT, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislators Carrié Solages (D – Valley Stream) and Cynthia Nuñez (D – Valley Stream), PSEG Long Island, and their partners in local and state government hosted an energy-saving presentation at Elmont Memorial Library on Sunday, Oct. 11. The event, which was hosted in partnership with New York State Assemblymembers Michaelle Solages and Judy Griffin, provided dozens of attendees with an opportunity to learn about programs, rebates, and resources that they can use to potentially reduce energy usage and costs.
“Saving energy and reducing our reliance on fossil fuels is always a positive for the environment, but at a time when energy costs are soaring, conservation becomes even more important as a way to help families make ends meet,” Legislator Solages said. “I was deeply grateful for this opportunity to work in partnership with PSEG-Long Island, Assemblymembers Solages and Griffin, and Legislator Nuñez to bring these vital resources to Elmont and our region.”
“PSEG-LI’s presentation was empowering on multiple fronts – not only will the tips and resources they shared help homeowners reduce costs, but they also advance efforts to conserve natural resources and combat climate change in our daily lives,” Legislator Nuñez said. “I look forward to continuing this partnership with PSEG-LI and my partners at all levels of government as we work to make Nassau County more affordable for families.”
