(VALLEY STREAM, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislator Cynthia Nuñez (D – Valley Stream) proudly joined the Valley Stream Chamber of Commerce and the community for the second annual Taste of Valley Stream celebration.
At the showcase of local restaurants, eateries, and local culinary students, “unsung heroes” Norma Pascualini of Bethlehem Assembly of God House of Hope, Sister Margie Kelly of Holy Name of Mary Parish Outreach, and Judy Miccio of Blessed Sacrament Parish Outreach were honored for their efforts to combat hunger in the community.
“More than just highlighting the incredible restaurants and culinary talent we have here in Valley Stream, the second annual Taste of Valley Stream was really about community,” Legislator Nuñez said. “I was proud to help recognize three remarkable women who work every day to support our neighbors through food pantries, faith communities, and outreach efforts. Events like this remind us how strong our community is when we come together to uplift one another. Thank you to the Valley Stream Chamber of Commerce for bringing everyone together for such a meaningful evening.”
