DASHBOARD UNDER CONSTRUCTION
New York State Department of Health directed Nassau County Department of Health to remove this dashboard.

Overview

Unexpected or lengthy exposure to heat and humidity may cause one’s body to overheat, which may lead to heat cramps, heat exhaustion or heat stroke if they are unable to cool themselves down. More information on heat related illness can be found on the Heat Related Illness page. The Nassau County Department of Health Office of Epidemiology, Biostatistics and Planning has created an interactive dashboard which visualizes trends in heat related illness emergency department (ED) visits. This dashboard will be routinely updated.
