The Nassau County Department of Parks, Recreation, and Museums manages two campgrounds, both of which require reservations. A driver’s license is required upon registration, and applications for individual campers must meet campground criteria for occupancy, age, identification, and type of camping shelter. Organized youth groups are welcome. Both sites offer "early-bird" registration.
