On Saturday, June 21, Nassau County Legislature Alternate Deputy Minority Leader Debra Mulé (D – Freeport) and Legislators Scott M. Davis (D – Rockville Centre), Olena Nicks (D – Uniondale) and Seth I. Koslow (D – Merrick) supported the third annual “Pride on the Mile” in Freeport. Boasting a vendor fair, tea dance on the Nautical Mile and drag cabaret, this grassroots celebration of the LGBTQ+ community grew this year to add its first-ever parade and car caravan. This year’s iteration was south shore Nassau’s largest Pride celebration, according to organizers.
