(UNIONDALE, N.Y.) – Dozens of community members joined Nassau County Legislator Olena Nicks (D – Uniondale) at the Uniondale Public Library on Tuesday, Feb. 3 for an in-person assessment grievance workshop presented by assessment expert Jeff Gold.
During the workshop, Gold, a former member of the Nassau County Board of Assessors and a former commissioner of the Assessment Review Commission (ARC), showed property owners who question the accuracy of their assessment how to optimally navigate the online grievance process and dispute their assessment. The deadline to grieve is Monday, March 2.
“Jeff Gold’s interactive, step-by-step workshops always provide invaluable information and equip community members to exercise their rights,” Legislator Nicks said. “It is a pleasure to work with Jeff to deliver this vital service, and I thank the Uniondale Public Library for hosting an event that will potentially help homeowners save on their property taxes.”
