(UNIONDALE and LAKEVIEW, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislator Olena Nicks (D – Uniondale) proudly joined Nassau County’s chambers of commerce at The Inn at New Hyde Park on Friday, March 6 to celebrate the region’s businesspersons of the year.
Among the honorees were LaToya Benjamin, owner of Lakeview’s VIP Small Dog Sitting and President of Abilities Unlimited, which connects adults with special needs to volunteer opportunities, and Saul Berrios, owner of Viper Collision in Uniondale.
“Nassau County’s small business owners form the foundation of our vibrant downtowns and power our local economy through the employment opportunities that they create. LaToya and Saul have distinguished themselves as leaders in the communities they serve, and they embody the spirit of entrepreneurship that strengthens our entire region,” Legislator Nicks said. “Thank you to Cheryl Fajardo and Patricia Schneider for bringing us together and hosting such an impactful event for our region, and congratulations to all of the deserving honorees!”
