(HEMPSTEAD, N.Y.) - Nassau County Legislator Olena Nicks (D – Uniondale) kicked off her Mobile Office Hour series at the Hempstead Public Library on Wednesday, Feb. 18 – the first of four scheduled sessions in communities across Legislative District 5.
Mobile office hours are an opportunity for any Fifth District resident to meet with Legislator Nicks and her staff to express their concerns, get answers to questions, and share suggestions. No reservations are required - residents are encouraged to drop in and have their voices heard in a casual and welcoming setting. Among the attendees joining the session were Village Trustees Tanya L. Carter and William R. Whitaker, II.
The series continues at the Franklin Square Public Library on Wednesday, March 4; and the West Hempstead Public Library on Monday, April 13. The Monday, Feb. 23 session at the Uniondale Public Library was postponed due to the blizzard and will be re-scheduled.
“Mobile office hour sessions are one of many ways that my office connects directly with our constituents and ensures that their voices are heard and needs are being met by Nassau County government,” Legislator Nicks said. “Thank you to the Hempstead Public Library and the community for coming out to share their insights on how we can build a better future together!”
For additional information about the remainder of the series, please contact Legislator Nicks’ office at 516-571-6205 or onicks@nassaucountyny.gov.
