[ARCHIVED] Mulé Supports Baldwin Civic Association ‘Cash Mob’

Legislator Mule - Baldwin Civic Cash Mob

(BALDWIN, N.Y.) - Nassau County Legislator Debra Mulé (D - Freeport) joined the members of the Baldwin Civic Association at Kitty O’ Hara’s Restaurant in Baldwin on Thursday, March 31 for the first of a series of “cash mob” events sponsored by the Civic Association.

“Cash mobs” are planned to drive traffic to businesses through targeted promotions. For the Baldwin Civic Association’s series of events, anyone who orders food (dine-in or takeout) at the participating restaurants will be entered into a raffle for a gift basket valued at more than $100. The second event in the series was held at Novi Restaurant on Tuesday, April 5; additional installments are planned for 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday, April 12 at Gino’s of Baldwin, 919 Atlantic Ave. and 4-7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 20 at DeFrancisco’s Pizzeria, 97 Merrick Road.

“Local businesses have gone through so much to get back on their feet after the COVID-19 pandemic,” Legislator Mulé said. “Now more than ever, it is crucial to support these local establishments and spend our money locally so that the downtowns we cherish continue to thrive.”
