(LAKEVIEW, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislators Carrié Solages (D – Valley Stream) and Olena Nicks (D – Uniondale) proudly joined the New Greater Hempstead Chamber of Commerce and the greater West Hempstead and Lakeview communities to celebrate the grand opening of The Neighborhood Coffee shop in Lakeview on Saturday, Sept. 12.
“Woodfield Road has long been the town center for the West Hempstead and Lakeview communities, and the ingenuity and passion behind businesses like The Neighborhood Coffee will help build a new and exciting community hub,” Legislator Solages said. “I wish the owners nothing but success in their new venture – it is my hope that the community will rally behind our local businesses and that our partners in government will provide grants and resources to launch a comprehensive downtown revitalization plan for downtown Lakeview.”
“Nassau County’s local businesses reflect the vision and dreams of the communities they serve and nowhere is this truer than The Neighborhood Coffee in Lakeview,” Legislator Nicks said. “I am thrilled that there was such an enthusiastic response to the arrival of this exciting new business – let’s keep that going throughout the year and support the local entrepreneurs that will lead West Hempstead and Lakeview into a brighter future!”
