(BALDWIN, N.Y.) - Nassau County Legislator Debra Mulé (D - Freeport) had the privilege of presenting the Nassau County D.E.E.P. Award to Plaza Elementary School graduates Heaven Lion and Lucas Freed on Wednesday, June 22. The D.E.E.P. award is presented to students who demonstrate dedication to community service; enthusiasm for education; excellence in character; and participation in extracurricular activities.
“At such a young age, these wonderful students have already shown their commitment to making the world around them a better place,” Legislator Mule said. “It was an honor to congratulate them for their efforts and wish them continued success in the next chapter of their educational journeys!”
