[ARCHIVED] Koslow Partners with Freeport, North Merrick and North Bellmore Libraries Food Drive for Vets

(FREEPORT, NORTH MERRICK and NORTH BELLMORE, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislator Seth I. Koslow (D – Merrick) is partnering with the Freeport, North Merrick, and North Bellmore Libraries to host food drive for veterans in support of the Nassau County Veterans Service Agency’s nutrition assistance programs.

Through Tuesday, Nov. 26, supporters are encouraged to donate non-perishable food items during normal business hours at drop-off locations in the Freeport Memorial Library, 144 W. Merrick Road, Freeport; North Merrick Public Library, 1691 Meadowbrook Road, North Merrick; and North Bellmore Public Library, 1551 Newbridge Road, North Bellmore.

“The men and women who stepped up to serve and protect our nation in our armed forces should never go hungry, and we as a society and a government have a duty to meet their needs,” Legislator Koslow said. “I recently had the privilege of visiting Ralph Esposito and his team at the Veterans Service Agency and see the amazing work that VetMart does to combat food insecurity on a daily basis. I encourage everyone to give what they can to support this food drive and empower VetMart’s services to reach more families across our County.”
