[ARCHIVED] Koslow Thanks Community for Support of Veterans Food Drive, Reminder to Donate Before Nov. 26th

(FREEPORT, NORTH MERRICK and NORTH BELLMORE, N.Y.) – Immediately following Veterans Day and with Thanksgiving on the horizon, Nassau County Legislator Seth I. Koslow (D – Merrick) reminds Nassau residents that they have until Tuesday, Nov. 26 to support his office’s food drive for veterans and do their part to ensure no veteran goes hungry in Nassau County.

Through that date, supporters can continue to donate non-perishable food items during normal business hours at drop-off locations in the Freeport Memorial Library, 144 W. Merrick Road, Freeport; North Merrick Public Library, 1691 Meadowbrook Road, North Merrick; and North Bellmore Public Library, 1551 Newbridge Road, North Bellmore. Proceeds will benefit the Nassau County Veterans Service Agency and help to supply its nutrition assistance programs.

“It has been tremendously encouraging to see how our community has already stepped up for our veterans, and I have every confidence that is just a sign of things to come as we conclude this food drive,” Legislator Koslow said. “With Thanksgiving and the holiday season fast approaching, I encourage everyone to do what they can to empower Ralph Esposito and his team to aid more veterans their families across our County.”
