WHAT – Nassau County Legislature Legislator Seth I. Koslow (D – Merrick) is partnering with the Freeport Memorial Library, Merrick Library and North Merrick Public Library to host his second annual back-to-school supply drive to ensure local students have everything they need for a strong start to the 2025-26 school year.
From Monday, July 14 through Monday, Aug. 18 during regular business hours at each of those locations, donors can drop off needed school supplies, including but not limited to backpacks, folders, spiral and marble notebooks, looseleaf paper, binders, tabbed subject dividers, pencil cases and sharpeners, pens, pencils (colored and No. 2), highlighters, erasers, markers, glue sticks, lunchboxes, index cards, rulers, safety scissors and more.
“As a father of young children who will be headed back to school in a few months, I know how important it is for all of Nassau County’s children to have everything they need to excel in the classroom,” Legislator Koslow said. “The growing cost of school supplies continues to strain family budgets throughout our region, and that is why I am especially grateful to once again be working with the Freeport, Merrick and North Merrick Libraries to and do our part to ensure every student starts the school year confident and prepared to reach their full potential.”
