(MERRICK, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislator Seth I. Koslow (D – Merrick) was the guest reader in Ms. Weiss’ class at the Birch School for the Merrick Union Free School District’s Community Read Aloud Day on Thursday, April 4. Following the event, the students – who included his daughter, Julia – were all smiles and made Legislator Koslow a thank-you card for spending time with their class. “Events like the Community Read Aloud Day are so important for encouraging a lifelong love of reading in our children, and I was happy to participate in this wonderful tradition at the Birch School,” Legislator Koslow said.
