(UNIONDALE, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislator Olena Nicks (D – Uniondale) joined young scholars and educational leaders at Uniondale High School on Tuesday, Oct. 27 for the My Brother’s Keeper steering committee meeting.
“In Uniondale and across the country, My Brother’s Keeper does incredible work in mentoring young boys and men and spearheading strategies that improve the educational experiences boys and young men of color have in our schools,” Legislator Nicks said. “The program’s success is just one of many examples that illustrate my alma mater’s unwavering commitment to excellence, and I thank Superintendent Dr. Monique Darrisaw-Akil and the entire Uniondale educational community for their steadfast support of public education!”
