First City Project Collective Delivers $15K to Glen Cove Youth, Arts Organizations

(GLEN COVE, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislature Minority Leader Delia DeRiggi-Whitton (D – Glen Cove) joined the board of the First City Project Collective to present a $7,500 check to the Friends of the Glen Cove Youth Bureau and the North Shore Community Theatre in support of their efforts to bolster the arts and human services in Glen Cove. 

Launched by Joe LaPadula and Jon Holzer, the mission of the First City Project Collective is to harness the power of the arts as an engine for economic growth in Glen Cove that provides new opportunities for artists to showcase their talents. Minority Leader DeRiggi-Whitton serves as the organization’s advocacy director and board secretary.

“By embracing the arts and enriching the lives of our youth, each of us has the opportunity to contribute to a better and more vibrant future for Glen Cove and all of Nassau County,” Minority Leader DeRiggi-Whitton said. “We are all so thankful for the support of so many which made it possible to support the Friends of the Glen Cove Youth Bureau and the North Shore Community Theatre as they continue to pursue their vital service missions in the community we love.”
