Road Resurfacing Work Set to Begin April 20 in Sea Cliff, Glen Cove, and Manorhaven – Nassau DPW

(SEA CLIFF, GLEN COVE and MANORHAVEN, N.Y.) – Road resurfacing work is scheduled to begin on Monday, April 20 for major roadways in the communities of Sea Cliff, Glen Cove and Manorhaven, Department of Public Works (DPW) officials have confirmed to Nassau County Legislature Minority Leader Delia DeRiggi-Whitton (D – Glen Cove).

On that date, contractor Pratt Brothers, Inc. is scheduled to begin concrete work and roadway repaving on Glen Avenue in Sea Cliff from Prospect Avenue to Glen Cove Avenue; Sea Cliff Avenue in Glen Cove from Glen Cove Avenue to Cedar Swamp Road; and Orchard Beach Road in Manorhaven from Manorhaven Boulevard to the end of Orchard Beach Road. All work is weather permitting and is scheduled to be conducted during daytime hours.

Earlier, on Monday, April 13, preliminary concrete work began on the repaving project for Old Shore Road from Shore Road to Pleasant Avenue, and Pleasant Avenue from Shore Road to Old Shore Road in Port Washington.

“These vital infrastructure improvements will make the roads we all rely on each day safer and improve quality of life for homeowners, business owners, and motorists alike,” Minority Leader DeRiggi-Whitton said. “I am glad to hear that this important work is set to begin soon, and I encourage anyone whose commutes may be impacted to plan ahead to minimize disruption. We appreciate your patience – please drive safely!”
