(PORT WASHINGTON, N.Y.) – Road resurfacing work on Beacon Hill Road in Port Washington has been completed, Nassau County Legislature Minority Leader Delia DeRiggi-Whitton (D – Glen Cove) confirmed. Road markers and striping will be completed during the next two weeks, according to Nassau County Department of Public Works officials.
“Like many other County roads, Beacon Hill Road was in very poor condition, and my office and I were pushing to get it done because these vital improvements make it safer for drivers, bicyclists and pedestrians alike,” Minority Leader DeRiggi-Whitton said. “I recognize that there is always a level of inconvenience while these projects are getting done, and I am thankful to everyone for their patience and understanding. Thank you to road crews for all your hard work on this project - please drive safely this summer!”
