Nassau DPW – Dosoris Lane Flood Mitigation Work Coming Soon

(GLEN COVE, N.Y.) – Nassau County’s Department of Public Works will soon be taking steps to address flooding on Dosoris Lane in Glen Cove, officials confirmed to Nassau County Legislature Minority Leader Delia DeRiggi-Whitton (D – Glen Cove) during a recent meeting. Officials said that initial flood mitigation efforts will focus on the installation of new drains and potentially re-grading of the roadway to eliminate places where water can accumulate.

“These improvements will make Dosoris Lane - a heavily traveled roadway with many homes, schools and parks situated along its length – safer and more reliable for the thousands of motorists that rely on it,” Minority Leader DeRiggi-Whitton said. “I am very happy to report that these improvements are being planned, and I will continue to work closely with Nassau DPW to ensure this project meets the community’s needs.”
