Road Resurfacing Coming To Glen Cove, Sea Cliff & Manorhaven

Glen Ave work

(SEA CLIFF, GLEN COVE and MANORHAVEN, N.Y.) – Road resurfacing work on Glen Avenue in Sea Cliff, Sea Cliff Avenue in Glen Cove, and Orchard Beach Road in Manorhaven is set to begin in approximately one week, officials from the Nassau County Department of Public Works (DPW) have confirmed to Nassau County Legislature Minority Leader Delia DeRiggi-Whitton (D – Glen Cove).

On Glen Avenue, work will be completed from Prospect Avenue to Glen Cove Avenue. Crews recently completed patchwork from prior utility work and will soon embark upon a full resurfacing. On Sea Cliff Avenue, the focus will be on the area between Glen Cove Avenue and Cedar Swamp Road; work will be completed during overnight periods. Orchard Beach Road will be resurfaced from Manorhaven Boulevard to the end of the road.

In each instance, the roadwork is expected to take two days, weather permitting, to finish from the time it commences, with one day for milling and a second day for paving.

Earlier this month, Beacon Hill Road in Port Washington was resurfaced.

“With summer now fully upon us here in Nassau County, construction crews will be hard at work to complete much-needed upgrades to the roads we all rely upon, which will make our communities safer and improve quality of life for everybody,” Minority Leader DeRiggi-Whitton said. “We will keep pushing to secure resources for the communities of District 11, and I thank everyone for their patience and understanding as these important upgrades are completed.”
