(GLEN COVE, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislature Minority Leader Delia DeRiggi-Whitton (D – Glen Cove) joined the members of the Glen Cove Senior Center on Friday, April 17 for their monthly birthday celebration. Continuing a tradition that she began as a Glen Cove City Councilwoman, Minority Leader DeRiggi-Whitton shared a wonderful morning with Senior Center attendees, giving roses to all celebrating and sharing cake, conversation, and song with all in attendance.
“It is always so wonderful to celebrate these cherished milestones with so many neighbors that I have grown close to over the years,” Minority Leader DeRiggi-Whitton said. “When I started this event, my goal was to celebrate life and strengthen the bonds in our community, and I am so grateful that this tradition is still going strong and embraced by so many people in Glen Cove. Thank you to everyone who makes this possible month after month – and happy birthday to all my friends who are celebrating this month!”
