Road Resurfacing Work Underway In Port Washington

(PORT WASHINGTON, N.Y.) – Road resurfacing work is scheduled to begin on Monday, April 13 for two major roadways in Port Washington, Nassau County Department of Public Works (DPW) officials have confirmed to Nassau County Legislature Minority Leader Delia DeRiggi-Whitton (D – Glen Cove).

On that date, Nassau DPW is scheduled to begin preliminary concrete work, followed by milling and paving later, on Old Shore Road from Shore Road to Pleasant Avenue, and Pleasant Avenue from Shore Road to Old Shore Road. All work is weather permitting, and is scheduled to be conducted during daytime hours.

“These essential improvements will elevate quality of life for Port Washington residents and business owners and make our roads safer for all motorists and pedestrians who use the in their daily lives,” Minority Leader DeRiggi-Whitton said. “I am glad to hear that work is set to begin soon, and I encourage community members who may be impacted by this work to plan their commutes accordingly to minimize any disruption to their daily routines while the project is completed. We appreciate your patience – please drive safely!”
