(SOUTH FLORAL PARK, N.Y.) - Nassau County Legislator Carrié Solages (D – Valley Stream) proudly announced that the Nassau County Legislature unanimously passed a $427,803 Community Revitalization Project (CRP) grant that will fund the purchase and construction of the Village of South Floral Park’s fire training tower for its first responders.
“On Sept. 20, the South Floral Park Fire Department celebrated 100 years of selfless, courageous community service, and I can think of no better way to honor and commemorate this milestone than by investing in the future of this outstanding agency,” Legislator Solages said. “I thank my colleagues in the Legislature and the County administration for unanimously supporting my efforts to secure funds which will directly alleviate the tax burden upon Village residents; bolster the department’s recruiting efforts; and give these brave men and women the resources they need to continue serving and protecting the community to the best of their ability.”
