Under the formula released on Thursday, Feb. 19, four District 3 villages will receive a total of nearly $150,000 from the statewide program that seeks to ease cost burdens faced by cities, towns, and villages as they continue to provide exceptional services and preserve quality of life. The communities are:
- Village of Valley Stream – $117,177
- Village of Malverne -$22,461
- Village of South Floral Park - $6,492
- Bellerose Village - $2,985
“The reapportioned District 3 encompasses some of Nassau County’s most diverse and vibrant communities. This State support will ensure that they have the funds they need to deliver essential services and bolster quality of life initiatives without overburdening taxpayers during an ongoing cost-of-living crisis in our nation,” Legislator Solages said. “I commend Governor Hochul for keeping a close watch on our region’s fiscal health and strengthening programs that will make a real difference.”
