
(FRANKLIN SQUARE, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislator Carrié Solages (D – Valley Stream) had the high honor of swearing in the officers and directors of the Franklin Square Civic Association on Thursday, Jan. 29.
Legislator Solages administered the oath of office to President Anthony Passarella; Vice President Kristen Spielberg; Corresponding Secretary Phyllis-Ann O’Connell; Recording Secretary Ileana Carillo-Crane; and Treasurer Frank Culmone, as well as Executive Directors Darren Boerckel, Lou Ghiraldi, Rose-Marie Graziano, Jonathan Israel and Katie Tarascio.
He also thanked Israel for his past service as President; congratulated Passarella for stepping up in his new role; welcomed Ghiraldi to the board, and thanked Lisa DellPizzi for her two years of service.
“Civic associations are our ears on the ground and the grassroots leaders who advocate passionately for change,” Legislator Solages said. “I am thrilled to have such dedicated community partners in District 3, and as someone who went to Franklin Square schools for six years, I am especially excited to be working closely with the amazing team at the Franklin Square Civic Association for many years to come.”
