(LAKEVIEW, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislator Carrié Solages (D – Valley Stream) joined forces with New York State Assemblymember Noah Burroughs and an array of community partners and sponsors to host the second annual Hoppy Hunt at Harold Walker Memorial Park in Lakeview on Saturday, April 4.
Children and families enjoyed a celebration featuring an Easter egg hunt with more than 2,000 eggs, photos with the Easter Bunny, painting Easter baskets, music from a DJ, games and contests, and more. Children also had a chance to get some football pointers from Assemblyman Burroughs, who played for the New York Jets from 2000 to 2003.
“As a father, I know how much our children look forward to Easter each year, and I’m excited for opportunities to bring our community together to celebrate during this deeply meaningful time of year,” Legislator Solages said. “It was my privilege to work alongside Assemblyman Burroughs and so many community partners to host this event – one that I hope will become a beloved Lakeview tradition that families will enjoy for many years to come.”
