(VALLEY STREAM, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislator Carrié Solages (D – Valley Stream) joined the community at the Valley Stream Village Bandshell on Saturday, Aug. 8 for the 21st annual Simon’s Valley Stream Jazz Festival. Spearheaded through a partnership between Assemblywoman Michaelle Solages, the Village, and Jazz Festival organizers, the annual musical and cultural celebration drew hundreds for an evening with top music performers, food trucks, vendors and more.
“The Simon family is now embarking upon its third decade of staging a world-class Jazz Festival that brings us together to celebrate our diversity and shine a richly deserved spotlight upon so many outstanding artists that bring our community joy by sharing their talents,” Legislator Solages said. “I applaud Dr. Simon and his entire family for their commitment to a wonderful cultural tradition that continues to enrich our lives.”
