(ELMONT, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislator Carrié Solages (D – Valley Stream) joined the community at the Dutch Broadway School on Saturday, July 18 for the third annual Elmont Family Day. Presented by New York State Assemblymember Michaelle Solages in partnership with BeingEgypt Cares, Inc. and Core Group Enterprises, Walmart and ResortsWorld New York City, highlights of the free event included a basketball tournament, face painting, haircuts, giveaways and refreshments including hot dogs, popcorn, cotton candy and more.
“The growth of events like Elmont Family Day are instrumental in our efforts to give our children safe and healthy places to enjoy the summertime and stay connected with the community during summer break,” Legislator Solages said. “It is wonderful to see how this is becoming a much-appreciated summer tradition in Elmont, and I thank Assemblymember Solages and all of our sponsors for making this such a great success in its third year.”
