(LAKEVIEW, N.Y.) - Nassau County Legislator Carrié Solages (D – Valley Stream) presented two Community Revitalization Program (CRP) grants, totaling $145,500, to the Lakeview Public Library on Thursday, Aug. 6. The capital funding, which was approved by the full Legislature on July 27, will be applied toward the acquisition and installation of mobile meeting rooms containing study pods, as well as a video monitoring system (VMS) and cameras.
“Since the time that the grants were approved on July 27, I have heard directly from numerous community members about how helpful the study pods will be for students of all ages who need a private, quiet place to complete assignments and prepare for exams,” Legislator Solages said. “I am glad to hear that the resources we secured will have a direct, positive impact upon the daily lives of our neighbors, and thank the Lakeview community for embracing this concept.”
