(FREEPORT, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislator Debra Mulé (D - Freeport) partnered with Nassau County Comptroller Jack Schnirman and Legislators Kevan Abrahams, Siela Bynoe and Carrié Solages to commemorate Hispanic Heritage month by hosting a Minority and Women Owned Business Enterprise (MWBE) empowerment event at Freeport High School on Wednesday, Sept 25.

This empowerment event was part of a series of workshops designed to help entrepreneurs, new business owners and individuals who want to start a business. Attendees were also able to learn about the services offered by the County’s Offices of Minority Affairs, Hispanic Affairs, and Asian American Affairs.

“This series of empowerment seminars plays an essential role in helping established and emerging entrepreneurs alike thrive by bringing important opportunities for minority and woman-owned businesses to the forefront,” Legislator Mulé said.  “I thank my colleagues in government for partnering with me to provide these entrepreneurs with the knowledge to expand their businesses.”
