(UNIONDALE, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislature Deputy Minority Leader Arnold W. Drucker (D – Plainview) joined Career Day, Inc. for their summer soiree at Nassau Community College on Thursday, Aug. 21. The fundraiser supported the organization’s mission and served as a platform for announcing their new scholarship programs.
Since its inception in 2016, Career Day, Inc. has engaged hundreds of professionals in its programs and awarded tens of thousands of dollars in scholarships to deserving local scholars. The organization is a significant part of the legacy of Beth’s late husband, Arie A. Bucheister, and the scholarships pay tribute to his lifelong dedication to serving others.
“I have participated in Career Day, Inc. events at schools throughout District 16, and I have seen first-hand how their innovative and comprehensive approach captures students’ imaginations and opens their minds to everything that is possible in their lives,” Deputy Minority Leader Drucker said. “I am always proud to support Beth Bucheister’s efforts to enrich the lives of Nassau County’s future leaders and thank her for bringing us together at Nassau Community College for this important cause.”
