(EAST HILLS, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislature Deputy Minority Leader Arnold W. Drucker (D – Plainview) joined local leaders and his colleagues in government at the Sid Jacobson JCC’s annual Community Leaders Breakfast in East Hills on Wednesday, Dec. 10.
During the forum, Deputy Minority Leader Drucker and his colleagues in government and community service were updated on JCC programs that support individuals and families across all stages of life, ranging from early childhood education and senior wellness to specialized care for those living with dementia, Parkinson’s, and other neurological conditions, as well as cancer wellness, food insecurity initiatives, inclusion programs, and cultural engagement.
Participants also received a guided tour of the campus which highlighted its impressive and extensive network of inter-related programs, educational activities, community resources and more.
In May of 2024, Deputy Minority Leader Drucker proudly secured a $13,500 Hotel-Motel Occupancy Tax Fund grant which supported the JCC’s arts and cultural program and aided in renovations and technological enhancements for the facility’s auditorium.
“The Sid Jacobson JCC is a vital community hub that continues to distinguish itself through its life-enriching programming, service to vulnerable community members, and unwavering leadership on initiatives that foster cultural education and combat antisemitism,” Deputy Minority Leader Drucker said. “I am glad to see that their essential work continues to enjoy strong bipartisan support from all levels of government, and I am looking forward to working closely with them in 2026!”
