(PLAINVIEW and EAST MEADOW, N.Y.) – Nassau County Deputy Minority Leader Arnold W. Drucker (D – Plainview) joined Young Israel of Plainview at the East Meadow Jewish Center on Sunday, March 22 for their 54th Journal Dinner. As part of the festivities, Deputy Minority Leader Drucker presented Nassau County Legislature Citations to honorees Sheryl and Joe Cohen, Ronnie and Marty Lichter, and Lisa and Danny Rosen.
“Young Israel of Plainview is an amazing example of the growth of observant Judaism that is attracting young, growing families who want to embrace their faith,” Deputy Minority Leader Drucker said. “What started out with just a handful of members has ballooned to a robust community of several hundred families, and I am very proud of what they have accomplished and continue to accomplish. This year’s honorees are shining examples of why this shul is blossoming and thriving, and I applaud their commitment to Jewish life and selfless community service.”
