The following is a statement from Nassau County Legislature Deputy Minority Leader Arnold W. Drucker (D – Plainview) -
“I was absolutely sickened and appalled by the vile antisemitic incident that occurred on the campus of New York University on Wednesday. Antisemitism is a cancer upon our society, and it must be eradicated wherever it lurks. Now more than ever, people of good conscience must stand together and forcefully denounce all forms of hatred - every single time, without exception or hesitation, and regardless of whether it is encountered in our daily lives or at the highest levels of power.”
“Whomever raised this disgusting swastika flag over Washington Square Park is not just a hate-monger - they are a coward, and the individual who sought to disrupt NYU’s graduation celebrations with this heinous act must be held fully accountable by NYU and the appropriate law enforcement agencies.”
