Deputy Minority Leader Drucker Attends AJC-LI’s 55th Annual Meeting

Drucker - with Ronen and Orna Neutra

(SYOSSET, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislature Deputy Minority Leader Arnold W. Drucker (D – Plainview) joined Minority Leader Delia DeRiggi-Whitton (D – Glen Cove) and their colleagues in government at the Midway Jewish Center in Syosset on Monday, Dec. 1 for AJC Long Island’s 55th annual meeting and gala.

During the event, AJC leaders, including CEO Ted Deutch, provided an update on the organization’s regional, national and global efforts throughout the year. They also honored four distinguished leaders who have advocated for Israel and the release of the hostages that were kidnapped during the Oct. 6, 2023 Hamas terrorist assault upon Israel. Speakers included Orna and Ronen Neutra – the parents of Omer Neutra, a Plainview native who was murdered and taken hostage by Hamas terrorists during their Oct. 6, 2023 assault upon the Israeli homeland.

“For more than five decades, AJC Long Island has been an unwavering force in the fight to end antisemitism in our region – and their efforts are more needed than ever,” Deputy Minority Leader Drucker said. “Orna and Ronen Neutra are an embodiment of that relentless spirit, and their strength in the face of the unthinkably tragic murder of their son, Omer, will forever be an inspiration to us all. Thank you to AJC Long Island for your unwavering commitment to working toward a future of peace, understanding and acceptance throughout the world.”
