(WOODBURY, N.Y.) - Nassau County Legislature Deputy Minority Leader Arnold W. Drucker (D - Plainview) celebrated the holiday season with members of the Plainview Old-Bethpage Senior Citizen Club at the Crest Hollow Country Club on Wednesday, Dec. 10. During this festive annual gathering, Deputy Minority Leader Drucker had the opportunity to catch up with residents – many of whom have become personal friends over the years – and hear what was on their minds; learn more about their plans for this joyous time of year; and wish them a happy holiday season and a healthy 2026.
Spearheaded by Director Lorraine Charletta and Joan Cannavale, coordinator Cheryl Dender and its board of trustees, the Plainview-Old Bethpage Senior Citizen Club has become a model for what a flourishing and vibrant senior community organization can provide its members, such as New York City outings for museums and shows and summer getaways to Cape Cod. Deputy Minority Leader Drucker’s office frequently partners with the Club to host senior scam prevention seminars, emergency preparedness workshops, car seat safety checks, and more.
“As a representative for Nassau’s District 16 during the last decade, I have always enjoyed the Plainview-Old Bethpage Senior Citizen Club’s events, and their continued success is directly attributable to the hard work, creativity, and dedication of the Club’s staff and directors,” Deputy Minority Leader Drucker said. “They do an outstanding job of devising and presenting programs that greatly enrich the lives of local seniors, and it is a pleasure to celebrate this magical time of year with so many friends, neighbors and constituents.”
